AFTER setting up campuses on the old Mabini St. in 1953 and on Mango Ave. (now Gen. Maxilom Ave.) in 1955, Sacred Heart School-Jesuit will inaugurate its new campus on Abellana St., Canduman, Mandaue City.
The blessing and inauguration, which will be dedicated by Sacred Hearters to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and St. Ignatius de Loyola, will be on August 24.
"All Sacred Hearters who have set foot on the grounds in Mabini and Mango, and every Sacred Hearter, who now trods on this new sacred ground, know by heart this deep Ignatian insight of the Magis--doing more and greater things. Its meaning is seared into the collective consciousness and doing, in word and deed, calling Sacred Hearters to be persons for others and in following the heart of Jesus," a press release from the Sacred Heart School of the Society of Jesus reads.
Transformation
"This is the heart that embraces the profound and the beautiful, the grand and the passion, the revealing and the consoling, the power and the glory, the admiration and the transformation of all Sacred Hearters, past and present, unabashedly declare: I am a Sacred Hearter," it added.
This is the heart that transforms an agglomeration and a kaleidoscope of Jesuit-trained men and women into a cohesive, unified Christian and Jesuit community," the release also read.
